Four-Day Workweek at the Hospital
The goal is to research and collaboratively design socio-technical workflows in the (re)organization of work, communication, and digitization.
The “Four-Day Workweek in Hospitals” project is funded by the Hans Böckler Foundation. In light of staff shortages, high workloads, and far-reaching organizational changes, the question arises as to how work schedules can be designed to ease the burden on employees while ensuring reliable patient care. The project therefore examines the conditions under which a four-day workweek can be implemented in everyday hospital life and the roles that work organization, employee participation, and digitalization play in this process.
