The "Four-day week in hospital" project, funded by the Hans Böckler Foundation, is researching the (re)organization of work, communication and digitalization in everyday clinical practice. On April 23, Cornelius Schubert and Julia Kurz visited the University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf (UKE) with the project partners of the VITAWO project to discuss flexible, innovative and employee-friendly work arrangements in hospitals.

As part of occupational health management, the "UKE Inside" working group has been developing and testing innovative approaches to making working time models more flexible and improving working conditions for around a decade. The experience gained and structures established there offer valuable insights into the practical implementation of the reorganization of work in everyday hospital life and open up starting points for research and further development.
