New article by Ann Kristin Augst and colleagues published

In the newly published edited volume "Situationsanalyse in der Erziehungswissenschaft. Grenzobjekte, Positionierungen, Perspektivierungen", edited by Julia Gasterstädt, Jana Helbig and Michael Urban and released by transcript, Ann Kristin Augst, Marc Bubeck, Bianca Jansky and Lisa Waschkewitsch present a contribution that offers important impulses for further developing situational analysis.
Under the title "Bodies that (should) matter. Anregungen für eine Differenzierung des Körpers in der Situationsanalyse", the article demonstrates how diverse theoretical perspectives on the body can enrich the empirical analysis of complex situations – illustrated here through the example of pregnancy loss. Using relational maps, the authors explore three distinct approaches to the body (subjectivation, knowledge, materiality) and highlight the theoretical, methodological and practical research potentials that arise from such differentiation.
The contribution invites readers to further reflect on the so-called body turn in educational research – and opens up new ways of capturing and analysing corporeality within situational analysis more precisely and more critically.
