Isabelle Bosbach's latest contribution has been published by transcript Verlag entitled "10 Minuten Soziologie. Gutes Leben" (10 minutes of sociology. The good life), in which she examines umbilical cord blood preservation from an individualization theory perspective. Her reconstruction focuses on implicit assumptions about the good life in the presentation of umbilical cord blood preservation on the website of providers.

Using the case of the precautionary cryopreservation of umbilical cord blood stem cells, Isabelle Bosbach examines implicit assumptions of the good life and works out constructions of its endangerment and their treatment under the conditions of an individualized society.

Using the example of the websites of providers of private umbilical cord blood preservation, she reconstructs how the currently desired safeguarding of the good life points to the relevance of health, medical technology therapies and a safeguarding reference to the future. Cord blood preservation is seen as a potential unfolding into the future that addresses expectant parents to take responsibility for the future health of their children prenatally.
