Cornelius Schubert, Ann-Kristin Augst and Ronja Trischler take part in the conference "Doing Popularity" of the CRC "Transformations of the Popular"

From October 15 - 17, 2025, the annual conference "Doing Popularity" of the CRC 1472 Transformations of the Popular will take place at the University of Siegen:

"'Doing Popularity' shifts the modes of production of popularity into the focus of attention. The annual conference draws attention to the practices of generating attention and asks how these can be methodically and conceptually captured. Attention from many is not a given. Rather, it must be continuously (re-)produced, nurtured and cared for."

Ann-Kristin Augst and Cornelius Schubert are working on the research project "Digital Body Knowledge. Fault Lines of Problematic Popularity in Health Care" and are involved in the organization and execution of the conference.

Cornelius Schubert will contribute to the introduction and conclusion of the annual conference and Ronja Trischler will give a lecture on "Reference images: Designing 'credible' images together".
